Comments:
Sitting on the edge of the Pine Ridge Reservation within Badlands National Park, these two tipi's stand as a constant reminder of those who first called this land home. Today, roughly one-third of this national park falls within this Oglala Lakota reservation. To honor the history of America's first people, these traditional tipi's sitting at the base of an ancient standstone mountain were photographed in black and white using an all-wooden "Seneca" medium format film camera manufactured in 1907.
