Custom Website Design FAQ's

How long does it take to
create a custom website?

After we received the content for the site and understand the organization, the purpose of the site, and determined any special requirements the client has for the site, we will begin the design process. Normally it takes about 7-10 working days to develop several different website designs for the client to review and select from.

Once the client selects the final design, work begins on creating all the pages in the site. To ensure continuity and produce the best site possible, the designer assigned to that site will focus all their full-time efforts on that one site. Over the years, we have found that this 'concentrated' effort makes it possible to produce the site as accurately, and consistently as possible for our clients.

As each web page is completed, it is proofed for spelling accuracy and tested to make certain it appears correctly on various browsers and computers. Then, once all the pages are completed, the entire site is thoroughly tested by a team to make certain everything works correctly and that the site is easy to navigate.

For most websites, it takes 7-20 working days to create the pages, completely test the site and present it to the client for their final testing. For sites having special requirements, such as those needing video, audio, or database features, or for sites created using "Flash," more time is usually required. The time to develop large size website (sites having over 80 pages) varies based on the features needed for the site and the number of web pages it requires. While some large size sites are completed in 5-6 weeks, others having several hundred pages may require two or more months to complete.
