What information do you need to begin the website design?
Once you decide to have us create your site and we receive the initial deposit, we'll need the content for your site in order to begin the design and development. Content includes the text that you would like to appear on each page of your site as well as any graphics you know you'd like included, such as a company logo, photographs, etc. If you already have prepared the content, great. And, if not we'll gladly help you create a comprehensive list of the information that will be needed. (Note: In some instances, clients may not have the time or staff to prepare the final content. If needed, you can also contract with us to provide the services of experienced website copyrighters to create the final text. Click here for more information on this optional service.)
To help you in gathering and preparing this information, we have a general questionnaire you can complete, a tip sheet , personalized for your company which includes suggestions, and depending on the situation, we may also meet with you personally to help prepare the list.
Next, we'll provide general suggestions on ways you can prepare the content for your site. We can work with text created using most types of word processing programs such as Microsoft Word, WordPerfect, and others. Also, although we'd prefer to have the graphics (photographs, company logos, illustrations) supplied in an electronic format to ensure the best possible quality, we can scan it from paper originals, if needed to produce electronic copies.
Frequently, clients also need additional graphics for their site which they do not already have. Our graphic artists can create these as the site is being designed. Likewise we have a full photography studio and commercial photography capabilities to capture and process additional photos for the site, if needed.
