Photographer's note: This image always reminds me of the importance of looking in all directions for subjects to photograph. Before taking this photo, I'd hiked for over an hour along a river bank, and in frigid temperatures, searching in the distance for elk and bison. Finally, as I turned to begin the hike back, I discovered, almost at my feet, this rock with beautiful, long wispy streams of fast moving water dancing around it. The cold water temperature along with an overcast sky created the unusual green color in the water.
