Photographer's note: Photographing "State of Grace" was one of those magic moments you remember for a lifetime. It was taken on Sand Key beach on the Gulf Coast of Florida. I had gone there during a heavy rain just an hour before sunrise with the hopes of photographing this red life guard shack. Just moments before sunrise, the rain stopped and rays of sunlight burst through an opening in the clouds saturating the beach and guard shack with rich, almost surreal colors. Just as I began to photograph, a double-rainbow appeared directly above the shack and after having only enough time to take two photographs, the rainbows disappeared.
