Photographer's note: Melting snow and early Spring rains had raised the height of the Scioto River to record heights in several sections of Ohio. Positioning the camera at the edge of a dam in the pre-dawn hours, I captured this image at sunrise. Here, the first rays of sun light combined with the fast moving water which flowed over the dam created the appearance of golden strands of hair flowing into a turbulent river below.
