This photo of Taloden Pond surrounded by beautiful fall colors is part of Highland Nature Sanctuary and is is part of a non-profit organization called Arc of Appalachia. This group raises funds to purchase, conserve and protect land from future development all across southern Ohio. They also manage a small number of private cabins, a nature museum and maintain dozens of hiking trails that are open to the public. Once a sacred home for the Shawnee and Iroquois Indians, the area offers spectacular fall scenes, waterscapes, peaceful hiking through diverse terrain and brilliant spring/summer wildflowers.[Photo 0081]
