Description
Grand Teton National Park, MT
Near sunset on each of five consecutive days I visited the stables at Grand Teton National Park and felt drawn to this horse. But, whenever I would try to photograph, he would walk away. The next day the park was greeted with an early October snowstorm that ended late in the day. On this day, as I stood at the fence, the horse walked directly to me, let me stroke its neck, then settled onto a section of ground warmed from the last rays of sunlight with his reflection cast into a pond formed from melted snow.
