Tahoe National Forest, CA
Of our 155 national forests, Tahoe is one of my favorites. Containing 850,000 acres of lakes, rivers, mountains and meadows it’s a place where you can hike, camp, kayak, ski or simply admire nature. It also houses large stands of pine, cedar, oak, and maple trees or discover beautiful quaking aspen trees like these. You can even spend nights in a 90 year old retired fire lookout tower where I’ve stayed while photographing here.. [Photo: BIN0102]
