Grand Lake St. Marys, OH
Measuring 9 miles across and 3 miles wide, Grand Lake St. Marys is the largest inland lake in Ohio.The lake was dug completely by hand of 1,700 workers between 1837-1845 and for over 40 years it was the largest artificial lake in the world. Today, it’s part of the Grand Lake State Marys State Park and features the Rotary Light, a working 40′ tall lighthouse that helps guide boaters in the lake.
