Description
Grand River Wildlife Area, OH
Located in Northeastern Ohio, the Grand River Wildlife Area is a captivating 7,500 acre State Wildlife Area filled with meadows, woodlands, and scenic river vistas. Spanning over 100 miles, the Grand River is home to a unique biologically diverse area of flora and fauna in the Midwest and a wide variety of trees including oak, hickory, maple, yellow poplar (tulip trees), beech and various types of pines. To capture this photo I hiked in the dark for over 90 minutes to a spot I’d see the day before and waited for sunrise. Just before sunrise a fog started to build and as the sun rose in the sky beautiful rays of sunlight streamed through the fog creating this beautiful scene of shadows, outlines and light in motion.
