Great Sand Dunes National Park, CO
A late night hike from my campsite brought me to this remote sand dune beautifully light by a full moon inside Great Sand Dunes National Park. Although having a smaller area of dunes then the popular White Sands National Park, this park features the tallest sand dunes in North America (750 feet), is located at high elevation ranging from 7,500 to 14,000′ and surrounded by the vast Sangre de Cristo Mountains, [Photo 9192b]
