Mohican-Memorial State Forest, OH
Of the 24 state forests in Ohio, Mohican-Memorial is one of my two of my favorites. It contains over 4,500 acres of rivers, streams, hills, coves, caves and meadows. It’s also a place where you can hike, camp, kayak, ride a horse or simply sit and admire nature. It also houses one of the few stands of birch and quaking aspen trees in the state. This photo was made on an early morning hike following a two day snowfall that painted the forest in a dazzling display of winter. [Photo: 10123]
