Mosquito Lake State Park, OH
Mosquito Lake weaves through the center of Trumbull County in Northeastern Ohio. The nearly 8,000 acre lake is popular home to Osprey, Herons, Egrets and others. I arrived there at 4:30ᴀᴍ in the hopes of capturing sunrise over the water. Over time I realized a heron was standing in the water near me and I watched in fascination as it stood absolutely motionless watching the water for over an hour. This photo will always remind me in the beauty of practicing presence in life, in admiring nature and in waiting for the perfect moment to press the shutter. [Photo 1089]
