Salt Fork Lake, OH
Salt Fork Lake weaves through the center of the Salt Fork State Park in eastern Ohio. The 3,000 acre lake is home to the longest inland beach in the state. It is a popular home to Osprey, Herons, Hawks, and Spotted Sandpipers. I arrived at Salt Fork Lake at 4:30ᴀᴍ in the hopes of capturing sunrise over the water. Over time I realized a heron was standing in the water near me and I watched in fascination as it stood absolutely motionless watching the water for over an hour. This photo will always remind me in the beauty of practicing presence in life, in admiring nature and in waiting for the perfect moment to press the shutter. [Photo 1089]
